John A. G. Davis letter to Dabney C. Terrell [manuscript] 1826 Apr 6.

Davis writes to inform Terrell that William Wirt has been appointed to the Board of Visitors of the University of Virginia. Should Wirt not accept, John Tayloe Lomax has been nominated. Davis tells Terrell that his "youth was the principal objection that was urged against" him and that "no one objected to your qualifications."
